Coastal Conservation Association Reef Ball Build with McDonough School

A meaningful partnership between CCA Maryland and students from McDonough School, as they roll up their sleeves to build reef balls and support the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay.

This hands-on conservation project brought together education and action—empowering the next generation of environmental stewards to take part in preserving marine ecosystems, supporting local fisheries, and learning the critical role oyster reefs play in water filtration and biodiversity.

By merging science, service, and sustainability, this reef ball build gave students the chance to make a tangible impact on the health of the Bay.
